As Thumbtack Jack Alex has had a wrestling career about which he can be incredibly proud. I mean, I was a yearlong fan myself, before I got to meet the amazing person behind the character. Today I’m lucky to have him by my side as a podcast partner every week. He keeps challenging me with his knowledge, his perfectionism, and especially with his passion, but has also made me a better podcaster and journalist in the process. Alex is one of those people that show incredible dedication in everything they do and that will always take them further. His book is just one classic example for that.
But as much as I admire him for what he has achieved, the more I value him for the person that he is. Alex is someone you can always count on. His loyalty, deep thinking, and even his sometimes insane perfectionism make him so special to me. He is someone you can talk to about all sorts of topics for hours on end and who will listen to the really important topics as well. I cannot begin to count how many times Alex’ experience and spirit have helped me, even during times at which he might’ve needed someone himself. Alex will always be there for his friends and I will forever be grateful for it. Alex has achieved so much as a wrestler, an author, a podcaster, and an editor that it just makes me wonder at times. And still, the most exceptional thing about him isn’t what he has achieved, but the person that’s behind it all.
