TJ is probably the most meticulous professional I know. I hardly know anyone who sets such high standards for himself and his work, who puts so much thought into things, and who pours so much energy, passion and heart and soul into everything he does. Over the years, I have admired again and again the dedication and attention to detail he brings to his work. In my eyes, that is a quality that is becoming increasingly rare, and it makes him a role model for me in many ways.
But TJ has long been much more to me than just a valued colleague. He has become a truly good friend. Someone you can reflect with at length and in depth, discuss things with and exchange fleeting thoughts with. Someone who questions things, stays persistent, doesn’t let go and often opens up new perspectives for you along the way. I believe TJ is sometimes not even aware of the impression he leaves on other people, how much he shapes them and how much he means to them.
At any rate, I value him tremendously as a person and am grateful for every minute we have spent together in front of the microphone, and for every exchange we have as friends away from it.
